For a Sikkim tour package, the nearest airport is Pakyong Airport (31 km from Gangtok) with limited flights from Delhi and Kolkata. However, most travelers prefer Bagdogra Airport (124 km from Gangtok) due to better connectivity. From Bagdogra, you can easily hire a taxi to reach Gangtok, Pelling, or other destinations in 4–5 hours while enjoying scenic views of the Teesta River.
For a premium experience, some Sikkim travel packages also offer helicopter services from Bagdogra to Gangtok (approx. 30 minutes), subject to weather conditions.
