Day -1: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) /Bagdogra to Sillery Gaon- Reach NJP from where our package commences, then drive to Sillery Gaon that is some 95 KMs from NJP that will take approximately 4 Hrs. Sillery Gaon is a small village in the Kalimpong district and is about 6000 ft from the sea level. Stay in this village in the homestays overnight, relax and enjoy the beauty of Himalaya. Damsang Fort and Ramitey View Point near Sillery Gaon are the main attractions.
Day-2: Sillery Gaon to Rishikhola- Start after breakfast to reach Rishikhola. Spending time on the bank of Reshi River is amazing. Bonfire and light barbecue can add hot flavors to it. Take a bath in the river water if you want. Options of trekking and rock climbing are available here. Staying in cottages here and enjoy the evening star gazing what enriches your adventurous soul.
Day 3: Rishikhola to Zuluk – After breakfast in Rishikhola and reach Zuluk or Dzuluk via Rongli check post. Dzuluk is at an altitude of 10,000 ft above the sea level. The zigzag roads with the panoramic view will baffle you whether to stay here permanently or plan for revisiting it. Visit Nag Temple and Thambi View Point while moving uphill for the Old Silk Route. You can also have a look at Lungthung, which is over a mountain ridge and not uphill. You will get some light refreshment here and then you will be taken to Tukla Valley, which is a historic battlefield. Visit Kalapokhari, Old Baba Mandir, Four Lake Point, Memencho Lake, Jelep-La Pass View to reach Kupup. Here the Elephant Lake and the World’s highest Golf course, the Yak Golf Course at 13,025 ft as well as the Ice Hockey ground are significant for visitors.
Day 4: Zuluk 2nd Night
Sunrise point or Ganek View Point before 4.30 AM to behold the astonishing beauty of sunrise covering Mount Kanchenjunga is optional and extra cost. 2nd day in Zuluk is meant for diverse activities of your choice and that includes riding the mountains, taking a stroll through the forest areas, fishing, yak ride, trekking, enjoying the snow golf or simply to relish the local delicacies throughout the day and take ample rest overnight to restore more energy for the next day.
Day 5: Zuluk to Aritar
Have breakfast at Zuluk and proceed towards Aritar & it takes approximately 2 Hrs. The places to visit in Aritar are Lampokhari Lake, Aritar Gumpa, Dak Bungalow, Hattipailay Village, Mangkhim Temple, Lungchok Valley, Shivalaya Temple, Kalikhola falls, Changey falls, Love Dara, Nirmal Dham, etc. Relax fully amidst the altitudinal calmness on the last night of the trip.
Day 6: After a relaxed morning breakfast you start your return journey to NJP/Bagdogra Airport. With this we conclude the trip of 5 nights 6 days Silk Route Tour Packages.

Thambi View Point located north of Zuluk, is situated at an altitude of 11,600 ft. offers an excellent sunrise view. From Thambi View Point you can have marvelous view of the Kunchenjunga Range and also the zig-zag road with its 99 turns. Make sure to visit in the early morning to avoid clouds obstruction. (As per locals they have sighted Yeti or Banjhakri(in Nepali), remember the abominable snowman from Tintin In Tibet. You can here hear stories from locals here).
Lungthung very close to Thambi Valley is at an altitude of 11,500 ft. offers an exiting view of the Kunchenjunga, Sunrise, Sunset as well as the serpentine Zig Zag Road. The complete area of Lungthung falls under Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary with home to different types of rhododendrons, ferns, birds and animals. The area has high army presence due to proximity of the China border.
Menmecho & Elephant Lake If you travel further north from Gnathang Valley you come to Kupup. Here on both sides of the road are two Lakes. On The right is the Elephant/Kupup lake which can be viewed from the Elephant Lake View Point on the main road and if you want you can take next right turn and go the edge of the lake. Menmecho Lake is however is on the left side of the main road and you have to trek for considerable distance to reach the lake.
Jelep La(Pass) Do not get confused Its is same route and probably there was a previous road near Tukla which crossed over to China before the Nathula Pass was build.
Kupuk Yak Army Golf Course & Environmental Park boasts of Guinness Book listing for the highest golf course in the world.
Tukla Valley is the place where the so called Old Baba Mandir is located. It 12500 ft. Tukla valley contains a war memorial, which was constructed to commemorate the death of British soldiers in their military expedition to expel Tibetan forces from Sikkim in 1888.
Lampokhari/Aritar Lake is one of the natural lake in Sikkim and recently artificially constructed for the tourism. Altitude of 4600 ftit is the only lake with boating facility in Sikkim. Aritar Gumpa or Monastery is famous for its traditional architecture, carved and painted murals, rare manuscript and artifacts.
Sillery Gaon/Pedong/Icchegaon are villages in West Bengal which offer an excellent view of Mount Kunchenjunga. These are quite locations along the Silk Route which is being promoted as part of village tourism. These places does not have much activity but one can visit Damsang Fort Ruins, Sangchen Dorjee Monastery and the Cross Hill. The Cross Hill commands a glorious view of the facing mountains and you can get a glimpse of Tibet and the People's Republic of Chinese border and also a perfect sunset point.
