Yes, breathing difficulty can occur in the Silk Route, especially in high-altitude places like Zuluk and nearby areas such as Nathang Valley.

Zuluk is located at around 10,000 ft, and higher points like Thambi View Point and Nathang Valley go above 11,000–13,000 ft, where oxygen levels are lower. Some travelers may experience mild symptoms of altitude sickness like shortness of breath, headache, or dizziness.  So it is advised to ascend gradually (avoid rushing itinerary), Stay hydrated, Avoid alcohol/smoking, Carry prescribed medicines, Take proper rest.
