Khecheopalri Lake, is a lake located near Khecheopalri village, Located 34 kilometres to the northwest of Pelling town, the lake is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus, and is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. An interesting feature of the lake is that leaves are not allowed to float on the lake, which is ensured by the birds which industriously pick them up as soon as they drop into the lake surface.
Rabdentse is the 16th former capital of Sikkim and now lies in ruins. It was destroyed after the Nepalese invasion in the 18th century. Located close to the Pemayangtse Monastery, the ruins offer superb views of the Kanchenjunga Range.
The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim.
The Sanga Choeling Monastery established in the 17th century, is one of the oldest monasteries in the Northeast Indian state of Sikkim. The monastery is located on a ridge top above Pelling at a distance of 7 kilometres from Pemayangtse Monastery and is accessed by walking the steep hilly track of 4 kilometres, which traverses through rich forest cover.
Tashiding Monastery is a Buddhist monastery is the most sacred and holiest monasteries in Sikkim. It is located on top of the hill rising between the Rathong chu and the Rangeet River, 40 kilometres from Gezing and 19 kilometres to the south east of Yuksam. Tashiding is the nearest town to the Tashiding Monastery (Gompa).
The Singshore suspension bridge is the highest bridge in the state and the second-highest in Asia. This architectural marvel, with a length of approximately 200 m, can be reached easily from Pelling, which is 25 km away. The bridge offers a spectacular view of picturesque surroundings.
Kanchenjunga Falls is a perennial waterfall situated around an hour drive from Pelling. It cascade down from a height of 100 feet into a pool.

Even if you are interested for adventure or trekking you can spend 2-3 days stay in these places exploring Hilley, Chayatal, Rinchenpong Monastery, Poison Lake, the cardamom plantations and the road side Rhododendron trees along the way.

Reaching West Sikkim is relatively easy, with Pelling being the main entry point.
Nearest Airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) near Siliguri (approximately 160 km from Pelling). You can also arrive at Pakyung Airport and reach Pelling.
Nearest Railway Station: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) near Siliguri, West Bengal (around 150 km from Pelling). From NJP, you can hire a taxi or take shared cabs to Pelling. The drive takes about 5-6 hours.
By Road: West Sikkim is well-connected by road from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The distance from Gangtok to Pelling is about 130 km and takes 4-5 hours by car.
You can either hire a private taxi or take shared cabs from Gangtok's taxi stand.
From Siliguri: Direct cabs are available from Siliguri to Pelling. The journey from Siliguri to Pelling takes about 5-6 hours. From Darjeeling you can reach Pelling, which is about 73 km from Darjeeling and takes 3-4 hours by road.
If you are arriving at Siliguri you can take shared jeeeps and reach upto Jorethang and then take shared vehicles to places like Rinchenpong, Pelling, Okhrey, Barsey or Yuksam but, the vehicles are few and you need to reach Jorethang early to get tickets. In that case you may have to stay over night or Jorethang.
From Pelling you can either hire a taxi or check if shared cars are available with local taxi stands and there timinigs.
Spring (March to May)- The weather is pleasant, with blooming flowers, especially rhododendrons, which add vibrant colors to the landscape. It's an ideal time for trekking and sightseeing. Temperature: Between 10°C to 20°C, offering comfortable conditions. Clear views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, green valleys, and blooming flora.
Autumn (September to November) after monsoon, the skies are clear, making it the best time for viewing the Himalayan ranges and engaging in outdoor activities. Temperature: Mild, ranging from 8°C to 18°C. This time is excellent for trekking, with colorful autumn foliage and crisp mountain air.
Winter (December to February) are for those who enjoy cold weather and wish to see snow-capped peaks and experience peaceful surroundings. Temperature is cold, ranging from -5°C to 10°C, especially in high-altitude areas. Snow-covered landscapes and fewer tourists.
Monsoon (June to August): The region experiences heavy rainfall during this period, which can lead to landslides and roadblocks.
