Our Zuluk Homestay is the best in this picturesque destination. Zuluk Village lies in the Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary and is surrounded by wild forest, some of which are unexplored till now. Animal sightings of deer, wild dogs, Himalayan bear, and the red panda are common occurrence. Some tigers have also reportedly been sighted in the area recently. Several birds can also be seen such as Blood Pheasant, Himalayan monal, Kalij pheasant, Snow Pheasant and others. During the summer months, the area and its surrounding hills are covered with thousands of blooming rhododendron. Zuluk during these months is colorful due to the variety of rhododendron.

The temperature in summer rises to near 20 °C during day time while night temperature falls substantially. The rainy season is a little longer from July to September with heavy to very heavy showers. The winter are very cold and sees snowfall of about 3–5 feet of snow and temperature falls below 0 degrees during night time. Zuluk is being promoted as a skiing destination by the govt.   

There are no hotels or Resort in Zuluk. Accommodation are primarily provided by local villages in their homestays in Zuluk. Sikkim Govt. in an effort to spread tourism across the rural areas started promoting villagers to built and operate homestays in Zuluk and other scenic places. Most homestays build around the starting phase have now lost the facilities required for modern accommodation. Our Zuluk homestay in contrary is newly build with all modern amenities.

How To Reach Zuluk Homestay?

By Air

The nearest airport is Pakyong Airport in Pakyong, Sikkim. It takes a  driveof around 3–4 hours from the airport to reach our Zuluk Homestay.

By Train

From New Jalpaiguri railway Station (NJP) in West Bengal is the closest railway stations. The drive to Zuluk takes  around 7–8 hours hence it is not advised to directly travel to Zuluk Homestay from New Jalpaiguri. Instead to avoid the tiresome journey as well as for acclimatization it is advised to stay in between in places like Sillerygaon, Aritar, Rishikhola.

By Road

Zuluk is on National Highway-717B connecting Rhenock and Menla, via Rongli. Zuluk can be reached from Siliguri by various hired vehicle in roughly 7 to 8 ours. Tourists can also travel to our homestay in Zuluk from Gangtok in roughly 4 hours by hiring vehicles.
