Day 1- Bagdogra/NJP To Gangtok
You Start your Sikkim tour package for 7 days with Arrival at NJP Station/Bagdogra airport and proceed for Pelling (6 hours journey), Enroute you will first cross the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, the you will drive along the banks of river Teesta and reach Melli which is the border crossing between Sikkim and Bengal. Afterwards you drive via Jorethang, Geyzing to reach Pelling. The journey takes 6 hours but the scenic experience will be pleasant. On arrival at Pelling check in at your hotel, overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 2- After Breakfast a full day excursion trip to Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdanse Ruins, Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchendzonga waterfalls, Rock Garden, Sanga Choeling Monastery & Rimbi waterfalls are normal part of days sightseeing. Shingshore Suspension Bridge, Darap Village is worth seeing and is available at extra cost. Also must visit is the Pelling Sky Walk which has become one of the very popular among locals as well as tourists. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 3- After breakfast proceed for Ravangla which is the most popular tourist destinations in South Sikkim. Located on a ridge between Maenam and Tendong Hill, Ravangla is a small town offering unique view of the mountains and Kanchenjunga. Trek to Mainam Hills and Baley Dunga starts from here. Borong a mystery village with hot springs and monasteries is situated nearby.
En route to Ravangla from pelling first we visit the Namchi to visit Chardham pilgrimage centered around 87 feet high statue of Lord Shiva on the sitting posture at the Solophok Hill with 12 Jyotirlingas, Four Dhams ie. Badrinath, Jaganath, Dwarka and Rameshwaram, Also Sai Baba temple is a worth visiting place.
After Namchi you visit the mammoth 135 feet statue statue of Guru Padmasambhava atop the Samdruptse hills. There is cable car starting from the complex which offer great trill as well as marvelous views of the mountains and gorges below.
After Sightseeing check-in at hotel in Ravangla for overnight stay.
Day 4- Ravangla is the most popular tourist destinations for stay in South Sikkim. With an altitude of 7000 ft, located on a ridge Ravangla offers unmatched views of the Greater Himalayas. Ravangla has the Buddha park which is unmatched for its beauty, there is a Carpet Weaving Center, Ralong Monastery, Ralong hot spring, Bonn Monastery, etc. some of which can be visited at extra cost.
After sightseeing while proceeding for Gangtok (2.5 hours), the capital city of Sikkim state, en-route you visit Temi Tea Garden which is the only organic tea garden of India and provides an awesome view of the valleys and the tea garden. On arrival at Gangtok check in into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5- Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)
In the morning after breakfast, start for Tsomgo(Changu Lake), Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass(Optional subject to availibility of permits and extra charges).
Tsomgo or Changu Lake is at the height of 12,400 ft above sea level your first stop would be Tsomgo Lake, a paradise for travel savvy. After 3 hours of long drive, you will encounter the ‘holy source of water’ hallowed by native people. The picturesque view of the lake will mesmerize you. In winters the lake is frozen and surrounding is full of snow.
Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple- Further ahead lies a mysterious temple, it is of the eminent personality of Indian Army, Captain Harbhajan Singh who is known for his unusual story. He is believed to be with us even after his tragic death in the Indo-Pak war of 1965. At the altitude of 4000 m, every Indian worships this a pure soul in a shrine named after him as Baba Harbhajan Mandir.
Nathula Pass is the border of India and China. Though there is not much to see but yet it serves your imagination of being so close to Chinese occupied Tibet.
Return back to your hotel to consume mouth-watering food and spend one more day around MG Marg or Lal Market.
Day 6- Gangtok (Full day local sight seeing)
After breakfast full day Gangtok sightseeing.
Bakthang Waterfall- Tashi Viewpoint- Ganesh Tok- Enchey Monastery-
Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom- Do Drul Chorten Stupa- Institute of Tibetology- Flower Show- Banjhakri Falls. Spend overnight in Gangtok hotel.
Day 7- Gangtok – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/BagdograAirport (IXB) ( 130km/4 hrs drive)
After beakfast start for NJP station/Bagdogra Airport. On the way back, you can stop at Sevoke Kali Temple and Coronation Bridge. With that your Sikkim tour package for 7 days ends.
